The Battle of Trafalgar

The Battle of Trafalgar is an interactive work, by the living composer David Lyon. It features songs which can be learnt in advance in school and the opportunity for a young audience to join in with the performance by singing with Milton Keynes City Orchestra, and with other young people, at the Theatre. This concert will be introduced and conducted by Hilary Davan Wetton, and will include an introduction to the Orchestra and its instruments. This concert is particularly suitable for young people aged 7 11yrs, is approximately one hour in duration, and dramatises the tale of the famous battle a great way to bring other areas of the curriculum to life and to reinforce your teaching plans!

Tickets for the event are 5 for young people (10 for adults), with one complimentary ticket for every 10 booked by school groups. Booking is available by the web, by fax on 01908 558312, or direct from Milton Keynes City Orchestra by telephoning 01908 558311. 

When tickets have been reserved we will send you more information, music and word sheets for the songs, to be learnt in advance of the event, ready for young people to join together as an enormous chorus on the day!
