Susannah Simmons - Click for larger photoSusannah Simons began her career as a studio manager with BBC radio. She left to join Capital Radio which is where her career as a presenter began. She has subsequently presented PM, Today and The World at One for the BBC and Business Daily for Channel 4. In 1992 she became one of the original team at Classic FM presenting a daily two hour programme. Whilst at Classic FM she developed the 'Do More with Music' policy which included the hunt for the Classic FM Music Teacher of the Year and Classic FM families, all events designed to extend the audience for Classical music. In 1999 she became Director of Communications for Classic FM's parent company GWR. She has recently left Classic FM to return to the BBC where she is now Head of Public Policy and Outreach for BBC Radio and Music.
