Graham Salter

Graham Salter - Click for larger picture Graham Salter is one of Britain's best known oboists, having held principle positions with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the Royal Opera House. He now fulfils a busy freelance schedule, working with most of the symphony, chamber, recording and opera orchestras in London, and performing concertos and chamber music.

A winner of the prestigious 1974 Leeds Competition and of the Greater London Arts "Young Musicians" scheme, he has broadcast frequently and has played recitals, concertos and with his Oboe Quartet Arethusa on London's South Bank and all around Britain. He has held Professorships of Oboe at the RSAMD and the LCM, and gives lectures, chamber music coaching and masterclasses extensively in the UK and abroad.
