Carnival Arts

Over a period of five weeks, a series of workshops for children attending Olney Infant School and St Mary's Wavendon Church of England Primary School took place in January and February 2008. Jessica Rost from Festive Road and Lead Animateur Tim Palmer ran a series of sessions with help from Orchestra Trumpeter Peter Wright which combined orchestral composition and carnival arts. Groups of children created carnival bird masks and wings and created pieces of music based around the theme of Birds. This work was then performed as a foyer performance prior to the The Birds - Family Concert at Milton Keynes Theatre on Sunday 17th February.
