Priory Rise awarded MK Primary Schools’ Quality Music Mark

Milton Keynes based primary school, Priory Rise has been awarded the MK Primary Schools’ Quality Music Mark by the Milton Keynes Music Hub, for their recognition of music in relation to the overall development of children.

The award, which is the first for Priory Rise from the Music Hub, is given to schools to celebrate high-quality music-making and opportunities available for all its pupils.

Delighted to have received the award, Priory Rise Head Teacher, Sue Cox said: “We are thrilled that the quality and provision has been recognised. This is a wonderful credit to the children at priory rise and the leadership of music in the school.”

Vice-Principle of the Music Faculty of Community Learning MK, the lead organisation for the MK Music Hub, David Rose said:“After spending the day at the school, speaking to the pupils and watching the exciting music, the Music Hub is pleased to make its first ever award to Priory Rise. Congratulations to Sue Cox, the Head Teacher and Clare Myers, the Music Leader, on ensuring that all pupils have the opportunity to make high-quality music.”
